3 Elles started with three friends, Marilyne, Valérie and Gaël.
Marilyne has a PhD in Literature, Valerie and Gaël both hold a Masters degree in Business Administration. Gaël has been working in the Marketing department of a major Luxury brand. Marilyne and Valérie changed their career paths and became Montessori Educators.
The three of them combined have 10 children aged 1 to 12 years old. They frequently get together and talk about education and parenthood. All three of them are convinced that the Montessori Method is extremely comprehensive. Having seen how their own children reacted to this method, they've always nurtured the dream to make it accessible to a larger number of children.
These three passionate women give a new turn to their careers with the launch of their first iPad application in French and in English
Valérie grew-up in Canada (Montreal). Part of her heart is still over there so she tries to go back on a regular basis and she sends her children to summer camp in Ontario.
She studied for her Bachelor's degree at Université du Québec A Montréal and did her Master's degree in Lyon (EM Lyon, France). After Canada and France, she went to London to work as a Management Consultant. After 4 years of consulting and a move back to France, Valérie decided to change careers and studied to become a Montessori teacher!
During 8 years she worked in an International Montessori school with hundreds of children between 3 and 6 years old and she managed to have 4 of her own.
Now that all four children are at school, Valérie decided to merge her professional experiences by designing educational interactive games based on the Montessori Method. She is currently based in London....again ;-)
She enjoys.....inviting 28 people for dinner and newborns.
She hates....moving!
Marilyne (also known as Marie) is a pure pure product from Brittany (you know, the place where they make salted butter, pancakes and cider).
She studied medieval literature for over 5 years and wrote her PhD on the role of heroines in 13th Century novels. This thesis was published by Université de Lyon II. All this studying wasn't enough. As soon as she finished her PhD, she took the Montessori teacher course in Paris.
Marie has three daughters. She is convinced that this "digital native" generation will greatly benefit from tactile tablets and is eager to develop intelligent apps for them to learn with.
She enjoys....fashion and choosing books (especially for children).
She hates....never-ending renovations!
Gaël was born in the Loire Valley and, as such, is our Princess.
She fist studied in Paris at Université Dauphine and then in Lyon (EM Lyon) where she majored in Marketing. Fashion, cosmetics, luxury, those are the key words that define the career of this woman who appreciates esthetic, design and quality.
Being a bit of a geek, she received her iPad as soon as it came out in France in May 2010.
Gaël describes herself as a "modern feminist". She is a working mom of 3 interested in alternative pedagogies. Thanks to Marie and Valérie, she rapidly became a real fan of Maria Montessori's way of teaching.
